A.O.C. : Côtes du Roussillon Villages

Varieties : Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache Noir

Yield : Between 20 and 25 hectolitres/hectare

Altitude : Bupetween 250 and 350 m

Aspect : Southeast facing land

Soil : Sandy-clay soil developed over black schist, shiny schist and gneiss from the Agly mountains

District : Vines located near Força Real

Vinification : Grapes picked and placed in small boxes for up to 20 kg , hand sorted on the cellar table, destalking, crushed. Vatting for 15 to 21 days, thermo-regulated maceration to preserve all the aromatic potential of the grapes.

Ageing : Ageing in oak barrels (2/3 new wood) for 12 months. Ageing in our cellars.

Tasting : Nice deep dark garnet red colour. Complexity on the nose, with dark fruit, prunes, mocha with a slight hint of cocoa. On the palate, the immediate smoothness, the very fine aromas, and the mellow tannins, are remarkable. Notes of coffee roasting and truffles complement this well-balanced, powerful wine’s palette of aromas.

Serving : Best served at 18°C

Accompaniments : This big wine can be laid down but can also be enjoyed immediately with game dishes, a side of grilled beef or even a subtly flavoured veined cheese
