Our Story

The “Palacio” estate is documented since the 9th century AD but was firmly established in 1175 by nuns. The property has been in private hands since 1820. Anne and Xavier de Volontat are the owners of this 320 acres estate, located in the Corbières region. The vineyard is planted with the traditional local grape varieties (Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre) and enjoys a south/southeast exposure on a chalk and clay soil. The wines are raised in a strictly controlled environment (temperature control and precise maceration).
